2/5; 2 stars; CThis is one of those books that I would give a four star rating for the first 100 pages and a 1 for the last 100 pages. It is worth reading if you want background info on the cyborg nation, how they came about, and how they got out into space. The first part of the story was a pretty good 'stranded on another planet and making the best of things despite murder and mayhem' kind of story. The last half was worse than reading about a kindergarten class where all the boys are injected with massive doses of testosterone, and everyone gets high on PCP. Seriously, it was weird. I was wondering if there were two authors. Because I'm an optimist and a couple of my trusted GR friends like this series, I will try the next one and hope for the best.
