I started this book and soon realized that the Sookie Stackhouse series was no longer of much interest to me. Sometimes an author really needs to just wrap up a series and leave it. After the faery war would have been a pretty good place to end it. When I got going on the book it felt like it was wasn't going anywhere. I skipped around and tried to see if there would be any plot developments or significant additions to the overall story arch and I couldn't see it. I chalked it up to not being in the mood and put the book away. I don't know if I'll finish later or not. I really appreciated the way this author wrote the Harper Connolly series and wrapped it up in four books. It felt complete. I wish she could have done the same with the Sookie series.
