3/5; 3 stars; BThis book had one thing I really like in a romance novel; that is time for a romance to develop! I really enjoyed the fact that Kelsey and JD became friends over several months before they ever acknowledged any kind of romantic feelings. I would have rated this book higher, because the character development was great, but the last 100 pages totally knocked two stars off. I still liked the book and a B rating reflects that but one of my least favorite things happened; the book dragged on and on because these two couldn't have a friggin' conversation about their feelings. It felt contrived, it felt manipulative and by the end of the book I wanted to slap both of them. The whole aspect of Kelsey's life where she hides the fact that Andrew was her brother not her husband and Allie and Daniel didn't have the obvious parentage, felt really dishonest and I thought it was a cheap plot device Not a good feeling to have from a book you were enjoying.
