I haven't read a book by P.R. Frost before and I'm pretty sure I won't be reading another one. This book was slowly paced, the dialogue (especially in the imp sections) was stilted, and I couldn't buy into the 'romance' elements of the book at all. It wasn't all bad though. Things I did like included the author's take on Faery, demons, imp time travel and transformation of the celestial blade. I was kind of disappointed in the emotional intelligence of the main character Tess. She starts off sleeping with a guy she knows is a scumbag, but she just can't help herself, then she stumbles over the real hero who happens to be her best friend. But he turns out to be 'oh, I'm in love with you but I can't end my marriage. the sex was great though, thanks!'. The whole thing is just a big ick for me so that is probably the main aspect of the book that turned me off. I think the ending of the book was particularly weak and left me with no desire what so ever to follow up with any of these characters. Good bye. Good riddance.
