At the end of the previous book, Changeless, I was pretty disgusted with Lord Maccon for casting out his wife for being pregnant with, what he was sure, could not possibly by HIS baby. However, I was was confident that Alexia would rise above it all and come out on top. Blameless continues the story and shows Alexia getting herself into all kinds of sticky adventures and handling it all with aplomb. I like this series more with each book. The first book, Souless, was a bit clunky (to me) but still a good story. Changless and Blameless have smoothed things out and the story continues to be engaging, funny, and action packed. A lot of familiar characters were in this book and one particular nasty character got his comeuppance so I was happy.
