Well, I've had this on my 'currently reading' shelf for quite a while because I've been trying it out as I go. I like the way that Lou Schuler writes and I really like the way that Alwyn Cosgrove puts together a fitness plan. That makes the book a winner. I'd recommend this book, especially for women who are worried about lifting weights as a too difficult or too manly type of fitness plan. I have to admit, I kind of got sidetracked with the New Rules of Lifting for Abs because I was suffering a lot of back pain and looking for more focus on how to build a strong core. However, its a pretty challenging program and can easily be started after a person finished with this one. Strength and fitness training is an on going journey not something you are ever 'done' with.
