I'm a retired chemist and stay at home mom. I read a wide variety of books, mostly fiction with romantic elements. I love PNR, UF, Sci-Fi, fantasy, mystery, romance, health, and finance books.
3/5; 3 stars; BAfter a rough beginning, I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The first few chapters were a little difficult to follow but then the story took me in and the varying points of view made sense. I normally don't really enjoy books with gods and mythology but Carrie Vaughn did a pretty good job of weaving in some of their stories with people in the present day. Her premise that there had been one family line that, over the last few thousand years, was the caretakers of the magical artifacts of the world was interesting. I wouldn't really classify this book as urban fantasy or paranormal but I guess it fall somewhere between traditional fantasy and UF. The two actors who did the voices did a good job.
