4.5/5; 5 stars; AThis is moving, heart rending story of friendship set during the WW II. This book made me laugh, it filled me with awe, and it made me incredibly sad. I know that it is a bit unrealistic to think that a prisoner would be allowed to spend so much time writing out their info on the war effort but, if you can get past that, you can enjoy the unfolding of the story of two women and the friendship they formed while working for the British war effort. As the story goes on, the reader can't help but be impressed with how clever, courageous and determined these women were. This is definitely a book worth reading.
