3.25/5; 3 stars; BI really waffled between 3 and 4 stars for this book. I ended up going with 3 because I didn't feel enough connection to the characters to make me more enthusiastic. That being said, I REALLY like Tim O'Rourke's style of writing. Its a refreshing change in 'voice', pacing, and character development. I'm wondering if the fact that he's male (and I've read mostly female paranormal writers) or that he's British is what makes him sound so different to me. I was interested in the location for this story and was kept busy trying to guess where he was going with the story. Looking forward to the next one.
