4/5; 4 stars; A-Its been quite some time since I've read a book by Loretta Chase and I am happy to be re-acquainted with her. I really like the style of historical romance she writes. This book had smart, witty, and interesting main characters. I found a lot of humour in the story as well as an engaging plot. I did wonder why the whole arson/industrial espionage angle was suddenly dropped from the plot after the fire happened because that seemed like something a determined businessperson would pursue. It just made the story a bit 'thin' in my opinion I sincerely doubt the HEA could have been achieved in real life but am willing to suspend belief for this book and am looking forward to the next one in the series.
